The Role
The Adoptions Engineer will be responsible for managing the adoption process for roads, sewers, and utilities in line with relevant agreements (including Section 38, 104, and 278). Duties include liaising with local authorities, water companies, and consultants; ensuring compliance with technical standards; coordinating inspections; and resolving any issues to achieve timely adoptions. The role will also involve reviewing design information and supporting site teams throughout the process.
Experience Required

Proven experience in an Adoptions Engineer or similar civil engineering role within housebuilding or consultancy

Strong knowledge of Section 38, 104, and 278 agreements

Familiarity with local authority and statutory undertaker requirements

Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
