An opportunity has arisen for a Civil Engineer / Senior Engineer to play a key role on a complex, high-value heavy civils scheme in the North East. This permanent position involves leading technical delivery, resolving design challenges, and supporting site teams with expert engineering solutions, particularly within piling and major civil engineering works.

The Role
The successful candidate will oversee all design and technical aspects of the project, ensuring engineering solutions are efficient, compliant, and buildable. Responsibilities include managing and resolving complex engineering challenges, coordinating with design teams, and providing clear technical guidance to Section Engineers and site teams to ensure alignment between design intent and construction delivery.
Experience Required
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards or equivalnt) in Civil Engineering
- Significant experience in heavy civils, including piling works
- Proven ability to manage technical and design challenges on complex infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and engineering principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with site teams and stakeholders
- Experience supporting and mentoring junior and section engineers
