Freelance Site Engineer required for a new-build commercial development in Northumberland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy construction project, supporting the delivery of works from an engineering and setting-out perspective.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out site engineering duties, ensuring works are completed accurately, safely and in accordance with design drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Setting out foundations, drainage, levels and associated construction works.
- Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carrying out surveys and maintaining accurate site records.
- Completing as-built surveys and quality assurance documentation.
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
- Monitoring the accuracy and quality of works to ensure compliance with design requirements.
- Supporting the smooth delivery of the project in line with programme requirements.
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on commercial or building projects.
- Competent in setting out using robotic total stations and GPS equipment.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and site engineering procedures.
- CSCS card essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the wider site team.
Remuneration
£350–£375 per day.
