An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a civil engineering and groundworks contractor operating across the North East. This permanent position is suited to a commercially aware and operationally strong professional capable of overseeing multiple projects while ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards.

The Role
The Contracts Manager will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple groundworks and civil engineering projects. Duties will include overseeing site teams, coordinating resources, monitoring project progress, ensuring health and safety compliance, and maintaining strong communication with clients and stakeholders. The role also involves programme management, cost control, and supporting the commercial team to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
Experience Required

Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or senior project management role within civil engineering or groundworks

Strong understanding of groundworks packages including drainage, roads, and infrastructure

Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practice

Relevant industry qualifications or professional memberships would be advantageous
Remuneration
£70,000 to £80,000 per annum plus benefits package.
