A Contracts Manager is required for a permanent position with a civil engineering contractor operating across the North East. This role will oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

The Role
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing several civil engineering projects concurrently, providing leadership to site teams and ensuring all contractual and operational requirements are met. Responsibilities include programme management, cost control, subcontractor coordination, risk management, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance. Regular liaison with stakeholders and senior management will be required to ensure successful project outcomes.
Experience Required
- Demonstrable experience in a Contracts Manager role within civil engineering
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, groundworks, or related project delivery
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
- Excellent knowledge of contract management and commercial processes
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management preferred
