The Role
The Contracts Manager will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple groundwork and civil engineering contracts from pre-construction through to completion. Duties will include programme and budget management, maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors, ensuring health and safety compliance, monitoring project performance, resolving operational issues, and supporting site teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Contracts Manager within the groundworks or civil engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of groundwork packages, drainage, roads and sewers, foundations, and associated infrastructure works.
- Proven ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Excellent commercial awareness and budget management skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational abilities.
- A thorough understanding of health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Full UK driving licence.
