Junior Commercial Position with Main Contractor, Civil Engineering

The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Estimating Technician to join a busy pre-construction team in a full-time, office-based position near Newcastle. The role will focus on supporting the work-winning function with key responsibilities including completing quantity take-offs, producing bills of quantities, and assisting with the preparation of bids and tenders.
Experience Required
- Previous experience in an estimating or quantity surveying support role within civil engineering, and qualifications in a relevant academic subject (e.g. civil engineering and/or quantity surveying)
- Strong understanding of take-offs and bill of quantities production
- Familiarity with tendering processes and pre-construction activities
- Proficient in relevant software and strong numerical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and meet deadlines
Remuneration
Salary of around £32,000 per annum, alongside a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career progression within a growing sector.
