The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join the commercial team at the North East office. The role involves preparing and pricing tenders for building project opportunities secured through public sector frameworks, as well as competitive tenders within the private sector.
Responsibilities include analysing tender documentation, preparing detailed cost plans, pricing from first principles, and ensuring submissions are accurate, competitive, and delivered within required timescales. The position requires a high level of autonomy, accuracy, and commercial awareness.
Experience Required
Previous experience in an estimating role within the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor. A strong understanding of building project tendering processes across both public and private sector opportunities is essential. The ability to price from first principles, interpret technical documentation, and produce accurate costings is critical. Candidates must be highly organised, detail-focused, capable of working independently, and confident managing workloads within a fast-paced environment.
