The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join the team, primarily based in the Gateshead office with some flexibility for hybrid working. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates from tender packages, undertaking detailed take-offs, producing bills of quantities, and issuing enquiries to subcontractors. Close collaboration with internal teams and the supply chain is essential to ensure competitive and comprehensive submissions.
Experience Required
- Proven experience in an Estimating role within a building main contractor environment
- Strong ability to interpret tender documentation and perform accurate take-offs
- Experience producing bills of quantities and managing subcontractor enquiries
- Good understanding of construction processes across new build and refurbishment projects
- Strong organisational and communication skills
