The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Commercial to lead all commercial activities across the regional business unit. Responsibilities include overseeing commercial strategy, financial reporting, and the performance of a team of Quantity Surveyors, while providing leadership on contractual matters and resolving escalated commercial issues with key clients. This is a full-time position, primarily office based, with flexibility to visit projects across the North East as required.
Experience Required
Candidates should possess significant commercial leadership experience within a civil engineering main contractor environment, together with a strong working knowledge of NEC forms of contract. Proven experience managing commercial teams, producing accurate financial reporting, and building effective relationships with clients is essential. Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills are also required.
