A Highways Facilitator is required to join a small team supporting highways and streetworks activities across regional civil engineering projects. This is a varied role combining office-based coordination with regular site visits, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant regulations.

The Company

A well-established civil engineering business delivering infrastructure and highways projects across the region, with a strong focus on compliance, quality and safe working practices.

The Role

Working alongside the Frameworks Project and Streetworks Coordinator, responsibilities will include managing permit applications, monitoring streetworks, coordinating traffic management and liaising with local authorities, utility companies and contractors.

The role will also involve attending site meetings, managing Fixed Penalty Notices and Section 74 issues, monitoring defects and compliance, producing reports and supporting site and project teams with streetworks best practice.

A 1 in 6 weekend rota currently forms part of the role - this is paid on top of the salary and is carried out from home. 

Experience Required

  • Previous experience within a construction, civil engineering or highways environment.
  • Knowledge of streetworks and highways compliance.
  • Full UK driving licence – essential.
  • NRSWA qualification – preferred.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator, able to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work proactively.
  • Professional, approachable and positive attitude with a strong commitment to compliance and best practice.

Remuneration

Circa £29,000 + Car/Car Allowance & Fuel Card.
