IT Systems Developer required for an initial 6-month contract in the East Durham area. It is anticipated that this will become a full-time permanent role in the future. This is a varied role that combines process improvement, systems development and business support, helping colleagues identify opportunities to streamline the way they work. You'll develop innovative solutions using Microsoft Excel, SQL and .NET technologies, as well as supporting the administration of business applications and web-based systems.
The Role
- Work with colleagues to understand business processes and develop practical solutions to operational challenges.
- Design and build complex Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to improve efficiency and support decision-making.
- Rapidly develop process prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions using Excel.
- Support the administration and development of business applications and web-based platforms.
- Develop bespoke desktop applications using .NET technologies and SQL.
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate processes and improve business performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users across the business.
The Person
Applicants who have recently graduated in an IT discipline are welcome to apply, alongside people with recent, relevant experience. In the main, we are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems and has a genuine interest in technology and process improvement.
