A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager for a permanent opportunity across Lancashire and Cumbria. The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing civil engineering projects from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing site teams, subcontractors, labour, plant and resources.
- Monitoring project programmes, progress and costs.
- Assessing project risks and requirements before commencement.
- Coordinating procurement and ordering of materials and plant.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Providing leadership and technical support to Site Engineers and site teams.
- Overseeing RAMS, site inspections, audits and safe systems of work.
Experience Required
- HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Relevant CSCS card.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in civil engineering project or site management.
- Experience in large-scale cut and fill works and precast or in-situ concrete.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to set out civil engineering sites.
Desirable:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related subject.
- SMSTS 5-day qualification.
- Previous experience progressing from a Site Engineer role.
