The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of refurbishment projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets and tender documentation
- Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts
- Monitoring project costs and cash flow
- Administering contracts and managing variations
- Producing valuations and final accounts
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure commercial success across multiple schemes
Projects will span a range of sectors including commercial, education and healthcare.
Experience Required
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within a main contracting environment
- Background delivering refurbishment or fit-out projects
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
