Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor – Civil Engineering

The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team. The role will involve managing costs across multiple civil engineering projects, from initial procurement through to final account. Responsibilities include subcontractor management, cost reporting, valuations, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining contractual compliance.
Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within heavy civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC)
- Ability to manage subcontractors and cost control processes effectively
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Remuneration
Competitive salary, dependent on experience, plus company car/car allowance, pension scheme.
