The Role:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team, taking responsibility for the full commercial management of two to three large-scale new build housing developments within the Newcastle area. The role will involve working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and senior management to ensure developments are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Full commercial management of multiple residential developments from pre-construction through to final account preparation and control of budgets, forecasts, and cost reports

Procurement and management of subcontractor packages

Valuation of works, assessment of variations, and management of payments

Cost value reconciliation (CVRs) and regular financial reporting

Close collaboration with Construction Managers and Site Managers to maintain commercial control

Ensuring compliance with company procedures and commercial best practice
Experience Required:

Proven background in Quantity Surveying within new build housing is essential

Experience managing multiple residential developments simultaneously

Strong understanding of subcontract procurement, cost control, and financial reporting

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a wider commercial team
