The Role:
A quantity surveyor position has arisen within the local team, to be focussed on sites within the North East region. The quantity surveyor post carries responsibility for managing up to three projects simultaneously (variable depending on individual experience and capability) and reports to the Commercial Manager.
- Full commercial management of multiple residential developments from pre-construction through to final account preparation and control of budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
- Valuation of works, assessment of variations, and management of payments
- Cost value reconciliation (CVRs) and regular financial reporting
- Close collaboration with Construction Managers and Site Managers to maintain commercial control
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and commercial best practice
Experience Required:
Proven Quantity Surveying success within volume housebuilding with COINS software experience is preferable, although applicants from a solid building background and enthusiasm to move into housebuilding will also be considered. A demonstrable network and relationships with regional subcontractors will prove advantageous. Experience managing multiple residential developments simultaneously
Strong understanding of subcontract procurement, cost control, and financial reporting. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
