An experienced Senior Engineer is required to support the delivery of major earthworks schemes across the North East. This is a permanent opportunity with a privately owned contractor offering long-term regional work and career progression.

The Role
The Senior Engineer will play a key role in the technical and operational delivery of earthworks projects. Responsibilities will include:

Providing technical support to site teams

Setting out and overseeing earthworks operations

Managing QA procedures and ensuring compliance with specifications

Reviewing drawings and resolving technical queries
-
Supporting planning and programme management
-
Mentoring junior engineers
-
Liaising with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders
Experience Required
-
Proven experience as a Senior Engineer within civil engineering, specifically earthworks
-
Strong understanding of bulk earthmoving operations and associated specifications
-
Competent in setting out and use of surveying equipment
-
Experience managing QA documentation and technical reporting

Ability to work collaboratively within project teams

Relevant civil engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)

CSCS card essential
Remuneration

£40,000 to £45,000 per annum
