The Company
An expanding civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure solutions across the region. With a strong pipeline of secured work supporting housing and commercial development, the organisation continues to invest in its people and capabilities. Growth has created the need to strengthen the commercial team with the addition of a regional Estimator.
The Role
The Estimator will be office-based in Durham, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive pricing for tender packages to secure new work. Projects will primarily involve civil engineering infrastructure works for housing developments and commercial building schemes. Key responsibilities include analysing drawings and specifications, preparing cost estimates, liaising with supply chain partners, and supporting bid submissions to building contractors and housing developers.
Experience Required
- Proven experience in estimating within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of tendering processes and cost planning
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external partners
- Experience working with building contractors and housing developers is advantageous
Remuneration
Salary ranging from £50,000 to £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package. The position forms part of a growing team, offering clear and rapid progression opportunities into management.
