Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering - North East
The Company
Civil engineering subcontractor delivering general civil engineering and infrastructure works on commercial and residential schemes throughout the region. This position has a regional North East focus and a sensible level of flexibility to manage time between projects.
The Role
An experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor is sought to take full commercial responsibility for labour-only subcontracting packages on civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will manage projects autonomously, overseeing procurement, subcontract management, valuations, cost control, variations and final accounts. The role requires the ability to run schemes independently while maintaining strong relationships with site teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Experience Required
- Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering
- Demonstrable experience managing labour-only subcontracting packages
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of multiple projects
- Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
