Company:
An excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing construction business operating as both a housing developer and main contractor. The company delivers high-quality residential developments and is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its commercial team.
The Role:
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for multiple residential developments, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with company objectives.

Managing costs from initial feasibility and budgeting through to project completion

Preparing and monitoring development appraisals and cost plans

Procuring and managing building contractors and consultants

Overseeing valuations, variations, and final accounts

Ensuring robust cost control, risk management, and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle

Working closely with internal teams including land, design, planning, and construction

Leading negotiations with contractors and other external stakeholders

Providing clear commercial reporting to senior management
Experience Required:

Proven experience in building construction and housing development

Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and cost management

Demonstrable commercial awareness and financial acumen

Excellent project management and organisational skills

Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities

Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a wider team
