A well-established contractor with extensive experience delivering water infrastructure projects are looking for a Senior Site Engineer. The business has built a strong reputation for quality, safety, and successful project delivery and continues to secure major framework and capital investment programmes.

The Role

The successful candidate will work as a Senior Site Engineer, supporting the delivery of water infrastructure and network upgrade projects from mobilisation through to completion. You will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.

Duties will include setting out works, undertaking engineering checks and inspections, reviewing drawings and technical information, monitoring subcontractor activities, maintaining accurate site records, and supporting the Site Manager and wider project team with the successful delivery of the works.

The role will also involve liaising with clients, subcontractors, designers, and operational teams, identifying and resolving technical issues, monitoring progress, and ensuring all works comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer role within the water, utilities, civil engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience delivering water network, pipeline, utilities, or civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of setting out, surveying, engineering drawings, specifications, and construction methods.
  • Experience working with subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are delivered to programme and required standards.
  • Good understanding of quality assurance, inspection and test plans, and site documentation.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements within construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and site management.
  • Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent site-based experience.
