Freelance Site Engineer required for a regional civil engineering contractor delivering multiple Roads & Sewers schemes across the region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy contractor with a strong pipeline of work, offering a long-term contract and varied project exposure.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering duties across several Roads & Sewers schemes, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with programme requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting out roads, sewers, drainage, and associated infrastructure.
- Carrying out surveys and maintaining accurate site records.
- Managing quality assurance and completing as-built records.
- Coordinating with site management, subcontractors, and the client.
- Ensuring works comply with design drawings and specifications.
- Supporting the delivery of projects to programme and budget.
Experience Required
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on Roads & Sewers projects.
- Competent in setting out using robotic total stations and GPS equipment.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering drawings and specifications.
- CSCS card essential.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently across multiple live sites.
