A large, well-established contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to work on a NWL scheme in Teesside. Ideally someone who has worked in the water sector previously.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a water infrastructure scheme in the Teesside area, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and within budget
- Coordinate day-to-day site activities
- Ensure compliance with UK water industry standards, client specifications (e.g. Northumbrian Water), and relevant legislation
- Assist with planning, programming and progress reporting against agreed project milestones
- Monitor quality of workmanship, ensuring installations meet design and technical requirements
- Promote and enforce health, safety and environmental standards at all times, including RAMS and toolbox talks
- Support commissioning, testing and handover of completed works
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, as-built information and progress reports
- Identify and help resolve technical or site-based issues to minimise disruption and delays
Remuneration
£325 - £400 per shift
