A permanent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established contractor delivering civils and building projects across County Durham. This role offers the chance to take ownership of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

The Role
The Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site activities, coordinating subcontractors, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Duties will include overseeing project progress, maintaining accurate records, liaising with stakeholders, and driving programme delivery to meet key milestones.
Experience Required
- Proven experience in a Site Manager or similar role within civils and/or building projects
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and site compliance
- Ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering) preferred
- SMSTS and CSCS certification required
