A permanent opportunity is available for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established contractor on projects based in Durham. This role is ideally suited to candidates with a strong civils background and demonstrable experience in plotworks, with additional exposure to roads and sewers considered highly advantageous.

The Role
The Site Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. Duties will include coordinating subcontractors, overseeing plotworks activities, managing site documentation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Close liaison with project teams and stakeholders will be essential to maintain progress and resolve any on-site challenges.
Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the civil engineering or housing sector
- Strong background in plotworks is essential
- Experience with roads and sewers is highly desirable
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications required
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple trades on site
