Requirement for an experienced Site Manager to join a main contractor taking responsibility of a social housing internal refurbishment programme in Sunderland
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage day-to-day site operations and site teams
- Coordinate subcontractors and directly employed operatives
- Plan labour, materials, deliveries and site activities
- Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme
- Monitor workmanship and maintain high-quality standards
- Carry out regular site inspections and toolbox talks
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, health & safety and company procedures
- Liaise professionally with residents, client representatives and other stakeholders
- Monitor progress against programme and report any issues or delays
- Maintain accurate site records, diaries and documentation
- Identify and resolve problems before they impact programme or quality
- Support commercial and operational teams with project reporting
- Ensure sites are kept clean, safe and properly managed at all times
Experience required:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within social housing or refurbishment
- Strong knowledge of external refurbishment and planned maintenance works
- Experience managing subcontractors and site operatives
- A strong understanding of health & safety requirements
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and RAMS
- A proactive approach to problem solving
- Experience working within occupied residential properties
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid are essential
