We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Agent to support a major civil engineering project based in Teesside.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering a large-scale infrastructure scheme. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing site operations, coordinating site activities and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme and quality requirements.
The Role:
- Manage and supervise day-to-day site operations across civil engineering works.
- Coordinate site activities, labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered to programme.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved RAMS, drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Liaise closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, subcontractors and the wider project team.
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates on programme, productivity and any potential issues.
- Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained throughout the project.
- Review and implement RAMS and ensure site teams are working in accordance with agreed procedures.
- Assist with planning and sequencing of works to ensure efficient delivery.
- Identify and resolve site-based issues and coordinate with the project team to minimise delays.
- Maintain accurate site records and complete relevant project documentation.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Site Agent within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and site management.
- Experience delivering large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements and construction legislation.
- Experience working on highways, utilities, earthworks, structures, public realm, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Relevant CSCS qualification.
- SSSTS or SMSTS required.
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage site activities while collaborating with the wider project team.
Remuneration:
- £350 to £400 per day (dependent on experience)
