A reputable main contractor is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager to work alongside the Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a new build residential housing development in Bridlington.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the construction site, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and site personnel.
  • Ensure the development progresses in line with the agreed programme and build schedule.
  • Maintain strict health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with current legislation and company policies.
  • Carry out regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality, and progress.
  • Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, building regulations, and relevant standards.
  • Monitor site progress, identify potential delays, and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Manage materials, deliveries, plant, equipment, and site resources effectively.
  • Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Oversee snagging, finishing works, and the handover of completed properties.
  • Ensure plots are delivered to the required standard and within agreed timescales

Experience Required

 

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the residential construction sector, ideally on new build housing developments.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional build and/or timber frame construction methods.
  • Good understanding of construction programmes, sequencing, and site logistics.
  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety legislation and construction site procedures.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and motivate site teams effectively.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality homes.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work

Remuneration

  • £260.00 per day
